Max TS#19 - Karim
4/24
In this tutoring session with Karim, we focused primarily on free-flowing conversation, giving him the opportunity to practice speaking fluently and naturally. He shared details about his recent trip to Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina, describing the architecture, local food, and the historical sites he visited. Karim expressed himself well, and I occasionally stepped in to correct pronunciation—particularly with words like “architecture” and "Charleston" (he pronounced it as char-les-ton)—as well as some grammatical slips, such as article usage and verb tense consistency. The informal structure allowed him to build confidence while speaking, and we also took moments to expand his vocabulary with more precise or native-sounding alternatives. Overall, the session was relaxed but productive, reinforcing his comfort with spontaneous conversation.
