In this lesson I helped with an everyday task/problem. Seunghye got a parking ticket so I helped her call FSU parking to get the ticket sorted. She needed to register a new plate and challenge the ticket so she didn't have to pay the fee. We assessed the problem, came up with a game plan and then executed the task. We came up with a slight script with what she would say. We went over possible questions or statements and how best to respond. Telephone ettique was an interesting part of the lesson because sunghey couldn't gauge how the conversation was going from body language or expressions. It was a true listening lesson because all the information you had was through tone and words. We got her ticket excused and fixed her parking information so she didn't get any more tickets. Over the phone she had to read her license plate so we also went over the phonetic alphabet and what words to use. For example N as in Nancy, and O as in Oscar.
